Probably a snapshot from the 1940’s.   Can you see the rice that is being thrown?   She must be carrying a prayer book that is decorated with tendrils of ribbons.

  2. I love this. I remember the clip on hats that the bridesmaids are wearing. I had Easter bonnets like that and they gave me a headache!
    Very pretty prayer book.

  3. I recently did a post on wedding decorations a hundred years ago--and one of the drawings was of a bridal bouquet that was made with a prayer book, ribbons, and flowers. It's fun to see what this type of bouquet actually looked like in a photo.
