Photo Number 1578

This is a Real Photo Postcard from the antique shop in Detroit Lakes Minnesota.
Martinson Children DL Ant
These are the adorable Martinson children.
Martinson Children back DL Ant
Evelyn Mildred Martinson and Milton Jerome Martinson
The card was addressed to Mrs. Peter Brooks  Ada Minn.
It is a NOKO postcard they were used from 1907 to the 1920’s. I will guess that it is from the late teens or early 20’s because of the T strap shoe on the little girl. Edited to 1914.
Thanks for stopping by.  Do come again.
Update from Iggy:
The 1920 US census shows Milton [Jerome] (1913) and older sister Evelyn [Mildred] (12 Nov 1908 - ), the children of John P. and Mabel Martinson living in Hubbard, Polk, Minnesota. By 1930, the family had moved to Flint, Genesee, Michigan.

In 1940, Milton was living in Burton, Genesee, Michigan and worked as a welder. He married Chrystal M and had a son Dennis B.

  2. I am thinking Mrs. Peter Brooks knew a woman who spent a lot of time doing rag curls for her pretty little daughter...

    1. Evelyn may have married a man by name of Frank Thomas Sargent, and died in September, 1969, in Michigan. Her husband apparently outlived her by decades, passing away in Florida in 2009. David Lynn Sargent may be one of their children, and he died in Arizona in 2010. None of these are listed in Find A Grave, that I can find. Perhaps, with the more recent dates, an obituary may be found...
