I really enjoy your blog and the pictures you post. I "inherited" a box of old pictures that belonged to my husband's grandma. My MIL was going to through them out because she had no idea who they were...I told her I would gladly take them and I'm so glad I did!
So happy I found your blog! I've been collecting vintage photos for years. It started when I realized I just couldn't pass them up at garage sales because I was so afraid they'd be thrown out and lost forever. They're such fabulous little glimpses of history.
I have photos of a relative wearing similar trousers and boots - they were taken in the early 1920's during Army training in Scotland, so possibly military trousers?
love the pants.

The symbols on the stone by his leg are definitely Egyptian. He looks like a college prof... but not like Indiana Jones...
