Photo Number 632

We will look at some different hair styles and hair accessories this week.
This photo is a Cabinet Card that I purchased in Solway Minnesota.
Emma and Friend Soloway Cabinet Card
Two lovely ladies all dressed up. They have some kind of Victorian style hair clip in their hair.  It looks like it could be a celluloid clip but I doubt that it would be considered a Mantilla Comb.
Emma and friend back Soloway Cab Card
Emma ?? Spies and a friend S.D.

There are marks in the margin, possibly to indicate which woman is Emma ??.

South Dakota became a State in 1889, so this photograph was taken after that time.

I had no luck looking for the photographer.
Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)

  1. Very interesting hair clips. Another great photo and I look forward to seeing more of the Victorian hair ornaments.
