Dear Folks all-Here is a photo of our baby we call him Linus Carroll he was nine mos when this was taken + weighs 21 Ils. he stands alone and says Papa and Mama.  How are you all I would love to stop in on you some day we have a car so may come up next summer we were at Staples for a few days Mama and Franie went with us.  I can’t imagine Blanche married don’t suppose I would know Gladys + Everett We are having some grand weather hope it will continue for a while Love to all Isabelle Haynes

Browerville is a little town in central Minnesota.  Staples which she mentions in the postcard is about 60 miles from where I live.

according to SSN death records, a Linus C. born in MN in 1916, died at the age of 81 (Mar. 31, 1997) in Salem, Oregon

    How I miss the chatty notes/letters that people used to write. Sadly, those glimpses into daily life will not survive in the cyber world.
