Photo Number 252
If this was an unmarked real photo postcard, I would say this is a little girl. Following the rules..girls part their hair in the middle, boys part their hair on the side. I would be wrong.
This is Glenn Arthur Goddard, this is an Azo Real Photo Postcard with triangles pointing up which means it is from 1904 to 1918. Again we have a child wearing a larger belt, maybe it was a boy thing to wear the belt. I got this postcard at an Antique Shop in Park Rapids..as you can see it was fifty cents.
Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)

I think it's a boy based on the face. This boy at almost 3 weighs more than my 3.5 year old daughter!
ReplyDeleteWhatever - he/she sure was a cutey.
ReplyDeleteBoys in dresses. I've told you, it's a category. We must collect them, confusing though they may be.
ReplyDeleteThat is one wild hair-do and dress for a boy... I'm so glad fashions have changed (and I hope this one doesn't come back again!)
ReplyDeleteYou got a bargain - it is a very striking photograph (whatever gender it may be)
ReplyDeleteVery interesting. I have John's aunt's porcelain doll that is wearing a very similar outift with a belt and it is a boy. The doll is from 1900.
ReplyDeleteGlenn was a big boy for not quite 3 years. Wouldn't it be fun if we could see an adult photograph of Glenn? Do you suppose he grew to over 6' tall? It's a fine portrait.
